“You took a boy who was closer to a raccoon than someone worth marrying and helped shaped him into the man you see before you today, and for that I owe you everything.”
“I don’t remember the time or the moment that I fell in love with you. It was more like watching a sunset; slowly at first and then all at once.”
Cassidy and Drew’s personal vows were funny, poetic, and perfectly spoken to one another. When Cassidy wrote me back in late 2017 she told me about how she and Drew met and fell in love after an infamous date where Drew showed up wearing a cat t-shirt. You’ll hear more about that in the film.
I knew from our first contact that Cassidy and Drew were good people authentic and kind. I also knew they were very much in love.
Cassidy and Drew are wedding videographers, so you would naturally think the pressure would be on for us, but the truth is they were one of the most easy going, non-stressed couples we’ve ever worked with. They were fully present all day. They took every advantage to inject personal touches and meaning into their ceremony and reception, like inviting Drew’s grandpa to officiate.
Everyone needs a Papa Max for their wedding officiant. He told little tidbits of story during the ceremony which made me laugh and even tear up a bit because it was evident just how much he loves Drew and Cassidy.
I could go on and on about how this sweet couple spent time creating special moments that made their day memorable and special. To Drew and Cassidy, thank you for giving us all a glimpse into your hearts. We love you! –Leslee
